This workshop provides a focused overview of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in neurorehabilitation, integrating key neurophysiological concepts, current clinical evidence, and practical hands-on training (demonstrations). Emphasis is placed on safe application, patient selection, stimulation targeting, and the role of rTMS in enhancing functional recovery.

◆ What participants will learn

Participants will gain an understanding of the neurophysiological basis of TMS, evidence supporting rTMS in spasticity, upper- and lower-limb rehabilitation, pain, cognition, and aphasia, and the integration of central and peripheral neuromodulation strategies. Practical skills include motor threshold determination, cap-based localization, coil positioning, and treatment site identification.

◆ Take-home value

By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with foundational knowledge and practical competencies to incorporate rTMS safely and effectively into clinical neurorehabilitation practice, with improved confidence in patient selection, protocol planning, stimulation targeting, and multimodal rehabilitation strategy development.

◆ Target audience

This workshop is intended for rehabilitation physicians, resident physicians in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, neurologists, psychiatrists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals involved in neurorehabilitation who are interested in the clinical application of rTMS and neuromodulation strategies in neurological recovery.

◆ Registration Fee

Advance registration is required due to the hands-on workshop format and limited participant capacity. Any additional fees, if applicable, will be announced according to the final conference registration and administrative arrangements.
