Devices and rehabilitation techniques are distinct among different kinds of pulmonary diseases, ranging from peak cough flow meter commonly used in neuromuscular diseases, diaphragmatic ultrasound commonly used to assess the inspiratory strength in patients with respiratory failure, to cycle ergometer in bed used in intensive care units.
