Su-Fen Liao Taiwan

Prof. Su-Fen Liao is a Professor in the Department of Post-Baccalaureate Medicine at National Chung Hsing University and serves as the Director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Changhua Christian Hospital.

She earned her MD degree from Yang-Ming Medical College in 1993, completed her PM&R residency at Taipei Veterans General Hospital in 1997, and received her Board Certification in 1996. Dr. Liao has pursued extensive international clinical training, including clinical observerships at Harvard Medical School (Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital), Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Children's Hospital Boston. She also holds specialized certifications in lymphedema therapy from the Lymphoedema Association of Australia and the Foeldi Clinic / Klose Lymphedema Therapy in Germany.

Her principal research interests encompass cancer rehabilitation, lymphedema management, pediatric rehabilitation, and sports medicine. Dr. Liao has actively led and collaborated on numerous national science research projects and published extensively in indexed international journals (including Discover Oncology, JISSN, and Medicine), focusing on exercise physiology, post-cancer surgical rehabilitation, and advanced robotic-assisted gait training.
